This movie was deep. It really raises questions about humans and their [our] stupidity. When you step back and observe for a second you really get a glimpse of how stupid we are in our own way. Extreme stupidity on our part could result in the destruction of the world in which we live. I did a final report for my senior seminar on the cold war and i saw how close we were to dropping nukes on Russia like snowflakes and even though in reality Russia didn't have the resources to retaliate the thought of two sides fighting each other with nukes for money or political power [something that isn't as tangible] is sad.

This movie reaks of nihilism.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you have to have an unbiased look at things to truly understand what it is. This movie was about masked heroes but it goes deeper in ways that other movies of this kind never have. These heroes are tortured, one became a product of his environment before he became a hero and another saw the world in such a negative light after he became a hero, he treated it as his playground. The Comedian saw the world as a disfigured and ugly place and in turn he turned into an ugly person.

Anyway, going back to what I was saying, This movie also tells me how helpless we really are. Shits crazy and we are all enemies now but what if something else comes through and threatens our existence, even if we were to come together who's to tell if bullets can help. Shit we can't even kill an animal without external help from guns or whathaveyou. I saw some shit last week about some chick gettin her ass beat by a chimpanzee. I have no experience with chimp fighting but damn you would think that as humans, the superior race would know how to go toe to toe with monkeys n shit. We're victims to everything, including ourselves, how we've lasted this long as a species or race is beyond me....
