Just some people who have inspired me in influential times in my life...

Tupac Amaru Shakur the great

Kurt Cobain

Jimi Hendrix

No they don't inspire me to make music because i don't make music. Their music and they themselves as people have each been a force behind who I am as a person though. I started listening to Pac at around 1995 annnnd Hendrix and Cobain made their way into my ipod during my sophomore year at college 10 years later... it was a Goodyear indeed...

Just some words..

Jimi's worldliness and his appeal to a diverse group of people reminds me of myself. He seemed like he was always in his own world. Its like no one was watching him, even when he was on stage lighting guitars on fire. He spoke with such..comfort that it spoke volumes figuratively. Me, i can't be placed in a certain mold and when i saw and heard of Jimi Hendrix I was intrigued because he was an unconventional figure at a time when it was reaaaal unconventional to be who he is and he is right at home.
Tupac's pure unadulterated passion with a side of deep intellectualism and pride in oneself inspired me to be that way as soon as I was completely able. Although sometimes he would ramble with such randomness he put it out there and the media and us fans and even college professors dug it. Ain't no one like Tupac right now in this day and age and i can say with full confidence that if he was still alive alot of things would not be the same. He would have surprised alot of people if the circumstances was different.
Kurt Cobain is that dude. If you don't know of him then Iunno what to tell you breh. His what-seems-to-be nihilistic beliefs and libertine ways appealed to me in a time when I was iunno...falling off the tracks so to speak. Nirvana's albums was my fuckin shiiiiiiit!!! They still are! Although I eventually "woke up"part of me still has that don't give a fuck nothing matters attitude, its just not that strong; I call it being laid back. The same characteristics that allowed Nirvana to create some powerful ass music ultimately led to Kurt Cobain's death. Part of me is sad cause of the way he went out but but he went out like he wanted to so... what can ya do?

These dudes overlap sooo effing much. Pac and Kurt both died at 27 (unnatural causes of course) . Jimi and Kurt died with a varying degree of drug usage as a cause . Jimi and Kurt are both influential Rockstars. Pac and Hendrix are. both. umm. black.

ummm

ok lemme stop.

Yeah Musically and personality wise...they got it. They spoke their truth in all of their interviews which is why the media loved them so much. An example below:

Interviews are the shit...watch it or not, Pz

1 Response so far.
