COGNI.VOL...

Often I'd imagine myself goin back in time and meeting myself when I was 13 years old. That would make it 1999 an awesome year, not for me but in general. I'd follow lil man around for a day and I'd just watch a slew of memories as they happen to him and it would just wash over me...I can't think of anything notable now probably just Christine L who was my first crush/lust/ female interest.
Anyway being that I knew so much I'd school my 13 year old self, u kno play butterfly man and all that. I wouldn't change much just give Him some advice u know. Tell him as much as I can n shit. Have him become a lil smart ass. Imagine if my 13 year old self had my current mindset and my knowledge. No one could tell me shit.


I remember back when I was on myspace there was this one blurb/question thatvi had a unique (if I say so myself) answer for. Well it wasn't that unique I think I saw it from somewhere ... MADDA fact I was probably Tupac.

"Well the question was who would you most like to meet?"

I said: I'd wanna meet myself 10years ago and myself 10 years from now so we can have a "State of the Don Conference".

Now I imagine my 13 year old sel walking in with his youthful exuberence, huge ass fuckin glasses our grade school uniform and not knowing what the fuck to expect. Chances are he is uncertain as fuck and just wants to go home. At 13 I was a bit sheltered, not by my folks much but mainly by myself. Trying new things wasn't my forte and I was a bit of a "boo-boo-jea-jea" (creole term for naive pushover) but that's just who I was. As usual he shows up first cause he has nothing else to do and he always shows up on time..."Things are scheduled for a reason". He waits like 10 mins then comes future Don. 33 year old Donnie is a mild mannered dude. He has a certain air about him and 13 year old don is amazed because he is staring at himself yet it's almost as if doni33 is a different person. See donni33 has a wife and a kid. He works for internal affairs and is content with his life. Donald as a whole wasn't he most ambitious dude so as soon as he found a tier with the right amount of salary and responsibility with a dash of career worth he stuck to it. Hes seen places lil Don13 hasn't even read about yet, Istanbul, Brazil, Amsterdam, Australia, Cape Town, Paris, Scotland... he's a worldly dude. He's seen alot so he's as even keel as he's ever been and he's mastered the art of reading people. So don13's amazement with him was easily read. They sit down and don33 can't help but smile at the pudgy kid. Don13 does the same but as they speak in comes don23 with headphones blaring...don33 can't help but feel the feeling of euphoria as he's heard every effing song that the collective has heard thus far in their lives. He thinks how 2009 was an "ehh" year for music but the Dons always had nice taste in music so they've always been unaffected. Don23 gives each of em a handshake, a headnod and a wassup he also smiles at lil d. See Don23 was a a medium in between the two naturally. He's very skeptical and thinks bad of the world but he has to live in it so he's looking to find his place where the shit world would not affect him. This place is a mental, social and a financial place and not a physical..place =). He has a bit of ambition so that's about all on his mind besides the sex. He can be a bit cold and insensetive (so im told) at times and it was evident when he arrived but he warmed up real quick...after all he is amongst more than friends and family. So the three sit down and talk. We empower the kkid, teach him how to grow up better than he's destined to be...basically we give him a cheat sheet on life cause we are always looking to improve isht..we are calculating like that. For the 23 year old we remind him to stop being so skeptical and to look at the world from multiple perspectives like he preaches. We talk about focus and we reinstall the "kid" in him. Along the way he's lost some of that childlike optimism because even though everything around him at times seems bleak, focus, optimism and strength will lead him through. And for the Don33, all he asks is that we stop eating like pigs. Its more directed towards lil Donnie but Don23 could do more to ensure that Don33 won't have to worry about doctor visits. Don33's main motivation for being at this meeting is to make himself a better person literally and figuratively and to impart wisdom on his "selfpeers" to ensure such a thing happens.

Iunno why i did this ...im just bored it does however tell me something about who i was, am and wish to be though..."intewesting"!!
